MAKING TRACKS THE ALLIS-CHALMERS MODEL M

Allis-Chalmers became famous for its range of combine harvesters and, before that, farm tractors. It also became quite a force in the crawler tractor market and, from this, into industrial products. In 1932, Allis-Chalmers introduced their third new crawler to be produced under their own name, the Model M, which still owed a lot to the Monarch crawlers that they were based on. When it entered full production in 1933, it propelled the company fully into the world of the crawler tractor because of its outstanding popularity.
