Australian-born Nic grew up in Brisbane and was pursuing a career in HR when he decided to kill time by starting a food blog and thus dip his toe in food photography. A chain of restaurants soon enlisted his services and, before long, he was building up a clientele. His penchant for foodie photos eventually led him to the UK and its lively food and drink scene. A short walk from Peckham Rye Railway Station, London, is Levan, a cosy contemporary European eatery that provides an inviting bistronomy-inspired menu. Lisa’s job would be to capture the restaurant’s honest, à la carte dishes and homely atmosphere, under the watchful eye of professional food photographer Nic Crilly-Hargrave.
