John Dodd’s legendary and somewhat notorious custom car, The Beast, sold in an online auction shortly before we went to press for £72,500. As reported on the Facebook page, John Dodd died in early December last year in Spain at the age of 90, after making Malaga his adopted home since the car’s peak moment of fame (or infamy?) in 1981. The Rolls-Royce Merlin-engined car, a major coup for any auction house.
