THETalyllyn Railway’s‘nature first’strategy is to be stepped up under the world’s first volunteer-run line’s new joint managers.
As reported in issue 301, the railway’s former general manager Stuart Williams has departed and been replaced by Liz Porrett and Lorraine Simkiss.
“I’ve been involved with the TR in some aspect for several years,” said Liz, who is now general manager (operations). “I would bring my children down as they were involved with the Tracksiders gang (the young member’s group for under-14s) and more recently became commercial manager for the railway.
