My Grandparents’ War

Kit Harington found fame as the warrior Jon Snow on and portrayed. Tonight, the actor discovers his grandparents played comparable roles during World War II. (Each of the series’ four hours features a British star learning their family’s compelling wartime story.) Along with the hardship are delights: Harington wonders if his grandfather, a British intelligence officer who served in the Caribbean at the same time as author Ian Fleming, could have been the inspiration for James Bond.
