that's life!

Welcome

omegrown vegies are a treat at any time. But with the price of food so high these days, they could also save you lots of money. In this week’s Ms team. Amber W regularly shares with us all zucchinis, sweet potato and cucumber she grows at home. ‘I started my little patch when we first went into lockdown as a way of making sure I got time outside the house,’ she told us. ‘But now, my vegies have taken over the whole backyard!’ Holly is also a newcomer to city farming, although she admits to getting some help from her now-retired professional gardener mum, Jude. ‘My partner Isaac and I got permission to plant a small vegie patch in our rental,’ said Holly. ‘And it’s been flourishing for a year’. The pair grow four different varieties of tomatoes, as well as beans, peas and ‘lots of chillies!’, which they make into chilli sauce. ‘Along with Mum, I have our Brainwaves page to thank,’ Holly added.
