Living roofs have seen a rise in popularity in recent years and for good reason. Not only do they add a decorative edge, helping functional structures blend in with the garden planting scheme, but a living roof will also bring unbound environmental benefits, from food for wildlife, to reducing carbon emissions.

‘The increased popularity of garden buildings has led to a loss in growing space – including a living roof is a great way to retain some of the greenery lost through building,’ says James Beattie, operations director of Pritchard & Pritchard ().
