Pre-Conservation Most Important Step

n my last column, I wrote a simplified discussion of coin conservation and some of the things needed to set up a do-it-yourself operation in your home or office if you get the “itch” to try your hand. Proper coin conservation is done in several steps. I covered Step 1, a close examination of the coin, last time. This is done to determine if the coin can be improved and what that result might look like. Step 2 in the process is the most critical to increase your chances of success.
