We hung in for a few days after the swell to connect some dots for this magazine and hopefully snag a few sessions at the point as the swell dropped and the tides aligned. (We didn’t). I hit up Nick Tasioulas again, the longtime owner of the Turtle Cove and the area’s first resident surfer, to try and get a comment out of him. Surprisingly, I get invited to a meeting.
