Thin Lizzy is one of the most influential bands of the 1970s, with a line-up that has constantly evolving, to include some of the best rock guitarists in the world. The band was formed and fronted by bass player and lead vocalist Phil Lynott, along with drummer Brian Downey in Dublin, in 1969. Lynott wrote most of the songs on the band’s 12 albums and was also the first black Irish musician to gain commercial success.
