ASK TRASK

Q: Dear Trask,

My humans are super into their skiing, almost as much as their flyfishing, and while I dig the whole playing-in-the-snow part at the base area, we often end up at some fancy resort where I get stuck in the truck while they “train” or “shred the gnar” or whatever. Can you recommend a good resort for dogs, where there’s other stuff to do (like, uh, fish) that could maybe help limit my lame, boring truck time?

—Daisy, Bozeman, MT

A: Dear Daisy,

First, remember the golden rule of resorts: No matter where your peeps bring you, if it’s a powder day, your sleuth move after they finally find a parking the Big Wood River to the skiing. If trout are rising, those skis may just go right back in the truck, and then: Voilà!—A fishing day with the dog.
