For active motorhomers and their dogs, the Peak District National Park offers limitless opportunities to stretch the legs. Callow Top lies in the national park and is surrounded by countryside, within walking distance of the market town of Ashbourne, just over a mile away. There is direct access from the site onto the traffic-free Tissington Trail, ideal for walking or cycling. The reservoir of Carsington Water, surrounded by wildflower meadows and woodland, is a 20-minute drive away. The whole path around the water is approximately eight miles and there's a visitor centre, shops and café.
Callow Top's pitches are electric hardstandings, with a small area of grass to one side. There are three toilet blocks, dishwashing facilities, an accessible washroom, a laundry room, games room and site shop. For leisure times, there is also a fishing lake, heated outdoor swimming pool and The Callow Inn serving food and drink.
