NatureScot steps in to cull estate deer
he Loch Choire Estate, a jewel of the Scottish Highlands, appears to be falling into a state included Loch Choire in its list of the 50 best sporting estates in the UK. But in January and February this year, more than 150 red deer were shot on the Loch Choire Estate by employees of government body NatureScot. The action was taken after the owner failed to respond to a formal request via the Deer (Scotland) Act to control numbers.
