Max helped set up Mystic at a young age. Why the motivation to start the brand?

Max was 18 when he co-founded Mystic. He was interning for its parent brand at the time, a global windsurfing accessories brand. Kiting had just made its way over from Hawaii to European waters. It offered a new thrill and ultimately, they were hooked. But they were using windsurfing gear, which didn’t match their identity or ambition on the water. They set out to craft a new product line of kiting accessories called Mystic but never guessed it would snowball into something much bigger, more niche and outspoken than anything else in the market. It wasn’t long until Mystic was established as its own brand for kiters.

What was Mystic’s very first product and how did it stand apart from existing products across the industry?
