I’m married to the land

I felt like I couldn’t breathe. The loneliness was palpable. Working as a beauty therapist in Townsville, Qld, it was a world away from the rolling hills of my childhood home on the land.

Coming from five proud generations of graziers, the country was in my blood. I was from Hughenden, Qld, a good 1500 kilometres from Brisbane, and about 400 from Townsville.

For me and my sisters, Shona and Sasha, the wide open 30,000 acres of our property was our playground.
