One of the best retro-inspired games of the last decade was The Messenger, which cleverly incorporated both 8-bit and 16-bit graphic styles to tell the story of a ninja travelling through time—and transformer from action side-scroller to Metroidvania. That game's indie developer, Sabotage Studio, now turns its hand to the 16-bit RPG.
But isn't trying to slavishly replicate a SNES game. Its pixel art has more vibrant
