Painting a Pilbara Rail Dash 9-44CW locomotive

For several years now I have wanted to add a Rio Tinto/Pilbara Rail Dash 9 locomotive to my fleet of Pilbara locomotives. I have always admired the paint scheme that was applied to these locomotives ever since they turned up on site.

The scheme of silver, yellow, red, black and grey is a combination of Hamersley Iron and Robe River Iron Associates rail operations when they were amalgamated to form one rail system. At the time, as rail employees we transferred to the new joint rail operation that was called Pilbara Rail (PR).
