At 23 years old, Ashley Harlan was growing more and more excited to bring her baby into the world.

Having grown up in the foster care system and overcoming a drug addiction, her own childhood had been difficult.

So, she was determined to give her baby a different life – filled with love and pure happiness.

In her early 20s, Ashley had turned things around in her life, working with a Christian-based ministry on behalf of sex-trafficking victims.

She also had plans to start a new job as a mentor to other foster children in the community.
