In the weeks after Whakaata Māori announced a benefit concert in aid of communities and whānau hit by Cyclone Gabrielle, the event expanded dramatically into this free eight-hour show featuring some of the biggest and bestknown artists in the country. Drax Project, Stan Walker, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Troy Kingi, Che Fu, Ria Hall, Bella Kalolo, King Kapisi, Bic Runga, Hollie Smith, Teeks, Rob Ruha and Ardijah will all take the stage at West Auckland’s Parrs Park. The broadcaster has also lined up Moana Maniapoto, Matai Rangi Smith, Stacey Morrison, Neil Waka, will be broadcast live on Whakaata Māori and streamed on the Māori+ website and app.
