When warrior prince Hikari’s kingdom is seized in a coup led by his brother, he’s urged to flee and gather allies before returning to reclaim his crown. This seems to hint towards the other seven playable characters, each of whom we could have easily chosen to begin the journey with instead – asign, perhaps, that might resolve its predecessor’s inability to connect its ensemble and their individual arcs into one cohesive narrative. But by the time we have gathered together all eight, it begins to look like the only tenuous connection is that their initials once again spell out that same preposterous
