Sister Rosetta Tharpe 1915-73

Only inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, Sister Rosetta Tharpe is one of rock and roll’s most overlooked stars. She grew up singing in church groups and later combined gospel, jazz and blues to create her own style of music.
