UNLOCKING MARINE MYSTERIES

The team members onboard left mid-February and span seven institutions, including emerging South African scientists, technicians and students from seven institutes and four provinces. The expedition was designed by the emerging researchers and will contribute to several post-graduate theses. It is led by young Marine Biologist Luther Adams, a participant from Namibia and a PhD student at the University of Cape Town, who first joined the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) as an intern seven years ago.
