What links Donna Summer, Bruce Lee and Richard Nixon’s speech writer? Well they all, along with Madonna and me, love the Mercedes W107/R107 SL. (By the way, when I say Madonna and me, I’m not sure she knows I share her passion.) Confused about W107 and R107? Don’t be, because they are the same thing. All Mercs used to have a W number, but at some point during 107 production the SL lost it and got an R instead.
