A LETTER FROM HAWKE’S BAY

Late February, 2023: Hi, Yvonne here. Sarah asked if I’d maybe write something about the events of the last couple of weeks and I said sure. But I really don’t know where this’ll go, so strap yourself in or tune out, either way it’s okay.

You see, I’m writing this from my home in Hawke’s Bay. It’s where I was born and raised; it’s where my own children have grown up and where I’ve helped build businesses over recent decades. When I joined back in 2010, it made perfect sense for me to be living and working in the middle of one of the world’s greatest wine and food regions and I couldn’t wait to start introducing you, our readers, to more of Hawke’s Bay’s
