The Oberon railway line was a short branch line in central western New South Wales. The line branched from the Main Western Line at Tarana and headed in a southerly direction to Oberon. It was proposed as a line from Tarana to Burraga to benefit the Burraga copper mine. The line opened to Oberon on 3 October 1923 and was lightly constructed with steep grades (1 in 25) and tight curves.
