The lutino challenge

IF YOU find it is getting harder and harder to bring in the right birds to improve a stud, it’s worth thinking about a change in direction and starting with lutinos. Lutinos are an interesting variety: pure yellow with white flights. This is a sex-linked variety and thus not difficult to breed in numbers.

Lutino is an ideal variety to add into an existing stud. Nevertheless, lutinos need to be thought of as an “add on” because they don’t simply fit in with an existing stud of normals.
