NASA has made an amazing discovery: a new Earth-sized planet that they believe is also very similar was found this year in the system where a potentially habitable zone was discovered back in 2020. Scientist have studied the planet’s environment and have found that it could possibly be rocky and have had water at some point, similar to Earth. TOI 700 e also orbits within the ‘habitable zone’ of its star, meaning its conditions are not too hot or not too cold to sustain life! They believe this planet, along with other planets found in this system (such as, illustrated above), could at some stage be inhabited by extra-terrestrial life. Or even, in the far future, be inhabited by humanity instead! Maybe some of you readers will be a part of the first batch of interspace explorers that get to travel to this planet and start a new life. Imagine: not only can we travel by plane to another country, but we can also travel by spacecraft to visit our family and friends living on another planet!
