Beat / How did you get into music?

Lasse / When I was a child, I was exposed to Callas and Beethoven. The first time I cried through music was when my big brother gave me „OK Computer“ by Radiohead for Christmas. I started to build beats myself with programs like HipHop Ejay or Magix Music Maker as a teenager. I tried my hand at writing lyrics back then, hanging out at the youth club with rhyme artists like the K.I.Z. guys, and I didn‘t want to keep rapping on the downloaded American beats. Producing beats and singing hooklines was what stuck with me.

Beat / What is the background of the name ACUD? Is it an abbreviation?

/ No, I just thought it was graphically good. There is a cultural center in Berlin with this name. It was supposed to close down at that time and
