What A contemporary three-bedroom new-build

As coincidences go, it was the kind that any architect might find bittersweet. In August 2017, Andrew Brown, of architectural practice Brown & Brown, took a call from prospective clients in London. Siobhan Turner and her husband Rory Webster had bought a plot of land in the Cairngorms National Park and were keen to build a holiday home on it. “They came up for a visit and asked if I'd meet them to go and view it,” recalls Brown, “and as I followed them in my car, it quickly became apparent where we were going…”

The plot, named Spyon Cop, occupied a grassy hill on the eastern side of the park, with commanding views
