Super Mario Bros
ne of the first attempts to bring a popular gaming franchise to the screen was the dismal 1993 Super Mario Bros movie. The game itself is an ultra-colorful platformer seeing Mario, an Italian plumber run through colorful worlds on his way to save a princess. The movie decided to ignore all of the source material and rather create a dystopian future ruled by lizards and casting Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario and Luigi.
