The shooting season is behind us now and the dogs have had a well-earned rest, a chance to gain a bit of weight and appreciate some of the early spring sunshine we have been enjoying recently. I always give my dogs some time out after the season, but once they have recovered I will begin to work on the many faults that have inevitably developed during their work picking up in the beating line.
