PETE'S PICKS PT2 1992 SUZUKI RM125 Insta: 444restore
Up until this year, Suzuki's presence in the motocross world was waning. They didn't have a factory or serious satelite team in any of the major race series around the world and their 250cc and 450cc motocross bikes were considered outdated because they hadn't changed for years. Then, in 2023, legendary motocross and supercross race Ken Roczen signed to ride a Suzuki in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross championship and for the first time in a long while, it seemed like Suzuki cared once again about dirtbikes.
The RM-Z450 Kenny is riding is still much the same as it has been for the last five years, and so is the RM-Z250, but that doesn't matter, we're just stoked to see a yellow bike in the top five. However, Suzuki haven't always been non-existent in the motocross world. In fact quite the opposite.
Guy Cooper won a 125cc AMA Motocross title in 1990 on an RM125, Travis Pastrana won the same title in 2000 on an RM125 and Ricky Carmichael was the last rider to ever win a two-stroke AMA
