Dinghy & Watersports Show

RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show

The RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show, presented by Suzuki, takes place at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre over the weekend of 25-26 February.

The 2022 event was the first at Farnborough and was widely hailed as a great success, giving the popular show room to expand and include new exhibitors, plus the RYA was quick to reflect the changing watersports scene by widening the show’s scope to include paddleboarding and other board sports, alongside the dinghy core.

RYA Director of Sport Development, Rob Clark, said: “We are hugely grateful to Suzuki for returning once again as our headline sponsor – their commitment to the show remains invaluable.

“We were delighted to welcome more than 7,000 visitors to Farnborough International Exhibition Centre at last year’s event. Testament to the show’s popularity, people travelled from all over the UK – along with overseas visitors from as far as Latvia, Iceland, Switzerland and Germany.

“Now in its 71st year, the 2023 Dinghy and Watersports Show presented by Suzuki, is set to once again bring the industry together and inspire thousands of visitors to get out on the water more often.

“Whether you’re totally new to sailing and watersports, or a more regular enthusiast, we want to inspire the next generation, whether that be for volunteering, racing, cruising, or spending quality time with the family.”

With hands-on experiences, demos from the legends, world class talks, and exhibitors offering everything you need to get afloat, the show combines a family atmosphere with cutting edge, professional level kit, boats and advice.

Mark Beeley, Head of ATV & Marine for Suzuki GB, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our support for the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show. The new format and venue worked well last year and there was a real buzz all around the event. The show is a great opportunity for us all to kick start the new boating season and we are looking forward to seeing everyone there.”

Over the next few pages we preview the show, with a look at some of the exhibitors, talks and other attractions that you can look forward to as a visitor.

We will have our own stand there at D24. Please come and say hello, grab your free copy of the magazine and meet our team to chat dinghies and all things sailing.

Yes, we’ve all heard it before: ‘The longest losing streak in sporting history’. That’s right, we plucky Brits can proudly lay claim to that title, having lost the 100 Guinea Cup back in 1851 and summarily failing to reclaim it since. Could this year

When people talk about chartering in Greece they are often referring to the Ionian. This northern area of Greece is definitely a charterers paradise due to the even spread of islands, good shelter and relatively docile winds. Yet the Ionian makes up
