LAST SEASON was moving year in the professional rugby life of Levi Aumua.

In his first full Super Rugby campaign, after a brief taste of this level for the Blues in 2019, he was the most consistent back for Moana Pasifika. Then he performed well for a misfiring Tasman Mako outfit. The season would finish on tour with the All Blacks XV and a couple of outings for the Barbarians under Scott ‘Razor’ Robertson.

At 28, Aumua says his rugby career has been a “rollercoaster”.
