WHO WILL WRITE THE F1 HEADLINES IN 2023?

With each team having just three days of pre-season running in the book, the grand prix teams are facing a journey into the (relative) unknown in Bahrain this weekend.

While the driver line-ups have been shuffled amid the mid-pack, the leading teams have stuck to their guns, and expect this season to be another battle between Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes.

Max Verstappen will be aiming to become the fifth driver to claim three titles in a row, and the initial signs look strong for the Milton Keynes-based team. But a rejuvenated Ferrari, under the new leadership of Frederic Vasseur, has promised to iron out the speedbumps it encountered in 2022, while Mercedes has put in the hard graft to regain its position as the benchmark.

Here, we give the lowdown on each team ahead of the marathon 23-race season.
