MODEL UPDATES APPROVED AT THE ISLAND

THE SEASON’S biggest talking point is now in full swing, with Superbike manufacturers essentially allowed to blur the line between production-based and prototype racing. In WorldSBK only the manufacturers can apply to homologate all new models, and update the homologations of existing models. There were a few ‘new’ bikes in 2023’s homologation list, but in reality, all were some form of light makeover.

Kawasaki homologated its Ninja ZX-10RR with a new variable air-intake system, which is not on the roadbike, plus some engine internals.
