All around the world many small species of tuna are generically referred to as ‘bonito’. However, in reality, very few of these are actually what are scientifically known as bonito. The true bonitos are classified under the genus Sarda and are a schooling species that appear, at least to me, as being the missing link between the tuna and mackerel
