Materials

• 4.4m (4⅞yd) navy spot print fabric (background)
• 25cm (¼yd) each of 10 different coloured spot print fabrics (Flying Geese)
• 55cm (⅝yd) red and white print fabric (binding)
• 2m (2¼yd) extra-wide (275cm/108in) backing fabric
• Batting at least 195cm (77in) square
• Sharp pencil
• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• Sewing machine with ¼in foot
• General sewing supplies

Cutting

From the navy spot print fabric, cut:

• 35 strips, 2½in x width of fabric. Cross cut 28 of the strips into• 14 strips, 4½in x width of fabric. Cross cut 56 rectangles, 4½in x 8½in (half-blocks)• two strips, 8½in x width of fabric. Cross cut eight squares, 8½in (A)
