When it comes to racing pedigree, few countries can boast a resume like the UK. Our green and pleasant island is known as one of the world's leading exponents in the art of speed. Indeed, the design, manufacture, testing and assembly of many of the planet's foremost racing machines has taken place right here in jolly old England. Specifically, Northamptonshire. Known colloquially as ‘motorsport valley’, the county surrounding the legendary Silverstone race circuit is home not on ly to the Formula One British Grand Prix, but also a plethora of the sport's top teams, all strewn a stone's throw from the grid itself. While F1 might be the jewel in the crown of motor racing, however, it is by no means the only entity making Northants a bona fide motorsport Mecca — there are legions of independent performance tuning and race car preparation specialists based in the area.
