Upgrades, including the provision for sound-fitted models, to Bachmann's Branchline BR Standard Class 9F steam locomotive were announced in winter 2022, and its latest announcement has seen two further models unveiled, including the sole surviving single chimney locomotive, 92134 in BR black late crest (32-861) and 92090, also in the livery (32-861A).

Sound-fitted versions of the Windhoff two-car Multi-Purpose Vehicle will also be released for the first time, alongside standard models, in two Network Rail colour schemes - DR98923 Chris Lemon in Network Rail yellow with South West Trains branding (31 -578SF), and DR98964 Dick Preston in Network Rail orange, with South West Trains branding (31-579SF).

Six new identities for its new Class 37 have been promised, too. They cover the early years in traffic with two BR green-liveried models, split-headcode D6710 with no warning panels (35-302) and D6829 with small yellow warning panel (35-306), through sectorisation with 37194 British International Freight Association in Railfreight livery (35-307), 37201 Saint Margaret in civil engineers’ yellow/grey with one cast and one fabricated bogie as per the prototype, 37414 Cathays C&W Works 1846-1993 in Regional Railways livery (35-338) and into the modern day, with 37175 in Colas Rail Freight livery (35-310).

All models feature unique tooling combinations for the closest fidelity, and are offered in three formats - standard, sound-fitted and sound-fitted deluxe. See your local Bachmann stockist for more information.
