BRADY CARDS SPIKE AFTER SECOND RETIREMENT

Twenty-three years is enough NFL football for 45-year-old Tom Brady. On Feb. 1, 2023, he retired “for good.” So we won’t see Brady on the gridiron again, but in the hobby, he’s not going anywhere except up — in terms of memorabilia value.

True, there was no instant spike in Brady prices on eBay in the days following his announcement. But that’s not surprising, considering he retired last year before changing his mind and un-retiring.

Nor should we be surprised if the value of Brady memorabilia — already in the upper stratosphere — rises steadily over time. Michael Jordan’s memorabilia value keeps climbing as his exploits get further in the rear-view mirror, and Brady’s could take the same path. Increases are likely to be especially pronounced at major auction houses, where the cream of the crop will surface — the game-worn memorabilia,
