Greetings from Abu Dhabi. I’m here in the United Arab Emirates for two weeks, to cover the Abu Dhabi Championship and the Dubai Desert Classic.
But before those, the DP World Tour (henceforth known as the European Tour in this column) held something called the Hero Cup. A match between teams drawn from, on one side, Great Britain & Ireland and, on the other, the Continent of Europe fought it out in what was a rip-off of the old Seve Trophy.
