ZINNIAS are flamboyant annual flowers in the daisy family, for flower gardens, pollinator gardens, containers and cutting for the house. In some native and wild zinnias the flowers clearly look like daisies and may be only 1in (2.5cm) across. At the other extreme the flowers can be as much as 5in (12.5cm) across, and packed with petals – many looking similar to a dahlia or chrysanthemum.
