WEST COAST WRES-TLING doesn’t get near as much credit as it should. It simply doesn’t get coverage comparable to other territories.

That wasn’t always true. Some of the best and most prolific talent in wrestling has come straight from the U.S. West Coast. Pacific Northwest Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance’s Northwest territory, housed some of wrestling’s greats, like Roddy Piper, Buddy Rose, and Stan Stasiak. In the late-’80s, the Northwest was hit with blow after blow, suffering from fines handed out by wrestling commissions and the aftershocks from the growth of the WWF. Similarly, several NWA outposts across California fell by the wayside by the early-’90s.
