The modelling potential of modern ScotRail: Are the manufacturers missing a trick?

ONSISTING of a plain blue base colour with silver grey doors, it is the vinyl embellishments (or spots) that lifts Saltire livery. Very little exists in the way of off-the-shelf models for modelling ScotRail in its post-2008 form, particularly the suburban services centred on Glasgow and the Central Belt routes, despite its modelling appeal. It is one of the reasons why the recently reissued Bachmann Class 158 finished in Saltire livery is proving to be so popular
