But eliminated participants who spoke to sources including The Sun, Variety and Vice complain of “chaos and disorganisation”, players collapsing from “cold and fatigue” in freezing conditions, and a belief that games were “rigged” to eliminate them. The producers, which include Netflix, reject the claims. “Any suggestion that the competition is rigged or claims of serious harm to players are simply untrue,” they said, adding that “all the appropriate safety precautions” had been taken.
