METALWOODS
TaylorMade Stealth 2
TaylorMade has confirmed the ‘carbonwood age’ is here to stay with the new Stealth 2 range. The trio of drivers all feature a 60X Carbon Twist Face with redesigned Inverted Cone technology to maintain more ball speed on off-centre strikes. The heads also use up to 75 per cent more carbon fibre to improve forgiveness.
The three models are the Stealth 2 (£499), which offers best overall playability, the Stealth 2 Plus (£529), which offers lower spin and has a moveable 15g weight to alter shot shape, and the drawbiased Stealth 2 HD (£499).
The Stealth 2 fairway features a titanium face as well as V-Steel technology on the sole to promote launch and improve turf interaction. It comes in the same three models as the drivers. The Stealth 2 Plus fairway (£379) is adjustable through the hosel and also has a 50g moveable weight that alters the launch and spin profile. The forgiving Stealth 2 and draw-biased HD models will both retail at £299.
The Stealth 2 rescue (£239) has had the CG positioned lower than the original Stealth to promote higher launch and optimal spin. The Stealth 2 HD (£239) is the most forgiving option thanks to its marginally larger profile, and it promotes a right-to-left ball flight. The Stealth 2 Plus rescue (£249) has a more compact head shape than the other two models, so is designed for workability. It features an adjustable hosel for golfers looking to dial in carry distance or a certain ball flight.
Wilson Dynapower
Dynapower is set to be Wilson’s first tour-spec, fully adjustable driver. It comes in either a carbon head (£420) for the skilled golfer looking for a neutral to fade-bias driver, or a titanium head (£370) for those seeking added forgiveness and draw-bias. Golfers will be able
