HANDSOME DOUBLE HEAD

The Andrew Wilson Collection of the Rhodesia 1910-13 Double Head Issue was recently on offer at Spink. The highest price paid was for this 5d lake-brown and green example. Perforated 14, the stamp featured lovely bright colours and was well centred with large part original gum. The auction catalogue described the stamp as being ‘one of the finest of the dozen or so mint examples known, handsome and very rare so fine.’
