The first thing to think about is whether or not all the 6-volt items on the carburetor are in working order. It's not a complete disaster if they are not, as we will talk about later.
With the dusty carb fully assembled, a 6-volt power supply was attached to the carb for testing. Just ground the carb, and attach the positive test lead to either the choke or fuel cut-off solenoid. You will know that the choke is working if it heats up and releases the tension
