Pre-winter pop-ups

AUTUMN-FLOWERING BULBS ARE USUALLY DORMANT OVER SUMMER. MANY EMERGE FLOWER FIRST AS THE HEAT BREAKS AND AUTUMN RAIN FALLS.

When spring-flowering bulbs such as daffodils, tulips and iris are filling the garden with colour, it’s the cue to think ahead and plant bulbs that flower in autumn.

There are many autumn-flowering bulbs to grow that will bring fresh colour to the garden when other plants are starting to die down.

If you didn’t get those bulbs planted in late spring or summer, don’t despair as there are plants for sale now in flower and ready to go in the garden where they’ll bring joy every autumn.
